Welcome to my first blog for Colijn Buis Music!

Who am I? My name is Kim Limburg and I’m the management assistant for Colijn Buis Music. Funny fact…I’m also his girlfriend 🙂

The legendary jazz club called the ‘Blue Note’ has always been of interest to me, but it wasn’t until I met Colijn that I wanted to know more about this club.

Some of the world’s greatest names in Jazz have played in the ‘Blue Note’ since its inception in 1981. Hm, a coincidence that also Colijn was born that same year..

Here’s a taste of the people who played there: Sarah Vaughn, Lionel Hampton, Dizzy Gillespie, Oscar Peterson, Ray Brown, Tito Puente, and also George Duke (piano) and Esperanza Spalding (bass), see this video

What makes  ‘Blue Note’ so special is that on a given night, anything can happen. It is not uncommon to see the likes of Stevie Wonder, Tony Bennett, Liza Minnelli, and Quincy Jones get called up on stage from the audience to sit in.

As management assistant I would be thrilled if Colijn could to play at the famous ‘Blue Note’ Jazz Club in New York! To make that happen I really could use your help.

Since I -and many of you – feel that Colijn is a very talented pianist; we should make it happen!
