Colijn is playing  with none other than DENISE JANNAH on Saturday 23 June at 8 pm. in the Akoesticum, Ede. This is also the final concert of the Masterclass day SINGING that they will perform that day – so the participants of the Masterclass Day will also be part of the concert.

Colijn speelt samen met niemand minder dan DENISE JANNAH op zaterdag 23 juni om 20 u. in het Akoesticum, Ede. Dit is tevens het eindconcert van de Masterclassdag ZANG die zij daar zullen geven die dag – dus ook de deelnemers van de Masterclassdag zullen een onderdeel van het concert verzorgen.

Zangeres DENISE JANNAH is al vele jaren internationaal geliefd, zowel om haar prachtige, warme stem als haar innemende performance.
Geroemd om haar podium-uitstraling, frasering, dictie en timing, is ze ook bewonderd om haar warme persoonlijkheid die haar publiek laat voelen als speciale gasten in haar comfortabele woonkamer. Jannah is beroemd als jazz-zangeres maar net zo comfortabel in andere muzikale stijlen zoals Latin, Gospel, Fusion, Pop, Surinaams, Nederlands ( o.a. “Gedicht Gezongen” ! ) en Wereldmuziek. Het zingen in vele talen en zich gemakkelijk bewegen en grooven in verschillende stijlen is haar forte. Ze zoekt altijd naar een nieuwe uitdaging om haar artistieke horizon te verbreden.
Denise heeft vele albums op haar naam waarvan 3 zijn uitgekomen op het prestigieuze Blue Note-label, en verscheidene awards gewonnen waaronder twee Edison Awards. Denise tourde en trad op op festivals over de hele wereld, heeft gezongen voor o.a. Nelson Mandela, Bill en Hillary Clinton en koningin Beatrix, en ze is geridderd zowel door president Venetiaan als in de orde van Oranje Nassau door koningin Beatrix.
